Exchanges, Returns, and Warranties
1. Manufactures warranty applies as defined in instructions. Please call manufacturer first. If they cannot help you with a return authorization number, local service center, or technical support you can call us next.
2. Any returns for credit or exchange within 15 days must be unaltered new condition with original packaging and unopened containing the instruction manual.
3. No refunds or exchanges on generator purchases. You must send in warranty registration form.
Inspection of shipments received and claims handling
Please inspect your shipment for damage as soon as you receive it. Your shipment has been carefully inspected, checked and packaged by our company or by our vendor when the vendor ships directly to you. The shipping containers and our method of packaging have been thoroughly tested. We are confident that your merchandise will arrive in good condition, but accidents do happen occasionally.
When the merchandise was delivered to the carrier it was in good condition and technically became your property at that time. In the unlikely event that there is any damage to your merchandise, the following information will assist you in making a claim,. Any damage to the package or the package contents, either obvious or hidden, must be reported to the transportation company upon receipt of the shipment if you want to be certain your claim will be honored. Please note the following:
Damage in Shipping - Do not accept any shipment with damaged merchandise. If your product was damaged in shipping and you accepted it contact the shipper to file a damaged products claim. All original packaging materials and/or boxes must be saved and made available for inspection in order for a damage claim to be considered by the shipper
For all claims damaged in transit - Notify your carrier’s local office and ask for immediate inspection of carton and its contents, Do not disturb the items, the packing materials or the carton. After has made the inspection, please contact Sun Electronics at 305 536 9917 to reorder the product that has been damaged. Please be aware we are a F.O.B shipper and you will be responsible for your payment on both orders until acknowledgement has been received from the carrier concerning your claim. It is your responsibility to follow these instructions or the carrier will not honor your claim for damages.
· Truck shipments – Take note of any damaged packages on the bill of lading before signing. Failure to do so will forfeit any claims for most trucking companies. Call the local officer of the carrier to report hidden damage. Notify Sun Electronics so that we are aware of the problem.
· UPS and FEDEX shipments – The shipper must file all claims. If the package is damaged, then refuse the package, If the damage is hidden please call the carrier for inspection. Notify Sun Electronics so that we are aware of the problem
· Claims – All claim for damages or shortages in shipments must be made within 72 hours after receipt of goods or it will be assumed the shipment was without damage and was complete. Sun Electronics assumes no liability after this point. Title and ownership of the shipment is transferred from Sun Electronics to the consignee upon delivery of the shipment to the assigned transportation company. Acknowledgement has been made by the transportation company of the receipt in good condition of the material listed on the invoice or packing sheet.
Special Ordered Items – Items not listed on our website are normally not returnable.
