Since we live on a wooded lot I have mounted the solar panels on a movable object so that I can place them where the sun shines at different times of the year.
They are used to run my computer and amateur radio transceiver in a back room of the house. They also provide shade from the sun in the summer, in the winter we remove the swing and they are placed on our back patio facing south.
