Ontario, Canada I’m at my third upgrade, I now have 74 panels (14,430 Watts), inverters (12,000 Watts ) and solar chargers (14,000 Watts). Everything is from SunElec ( 2 x XW6048, 4 x XW-MPPT60 , remote control and XW-Power distribution , cabling ) except the batteries are from a local store 48 x US2200 (1392Ah). The east/west orientation gives me extra power earlier in morning and later in afternoon but a 10 – 30% lost from a southern installation.
I prefer less energy but for a longer period. My setup…after the batteries are charged up, a controller turns on some water heating elements in a 2000 gallons holding tank it’s part of my heating system. Well if you don’t use the energy after the batteries are full hence you lose it.
