Adirondack Mountains of Northern New York. I am delighted to send these photos of a recent installation. The system consists of 4 SUN-A-205 Solar panels mounted atop a 4 inch Sch.40 iron pole on a Direct Power and Water adjustable mount.
DC to AC conversion is handled by a Magnum Energy MS-4024 Sine Wave Inverter powered by a 400 AH, 24 Volt bank of golf cart batteries. Charge control of the batteries from the series wired SUN panels is handled by an Outback FM-60 MPPT Charge controller.
The system operates flawlessly with the SUN panels providing up to 830 Watts of power in direct sunlight. No noticeable degredation in appearance or output from the SUN panels has been observed over the one year operation of the system. We are very pleased with their performance.
The system is used to operate general lighting, a 1200 Watt microwave oven, toaster, television, DVD player, power tools, and even a small Christmas tree with LED lights. Ya gotta love them SUN Panels!!!.
